  • Brick is a very good thermal mass material. It can store a lot of heat energy and release it slowly over time, which helps to maintain a comfortable temperature inside the house during winter and summer. Having a brick house also helps to keep the temperature stable inside, as opposed to having a wooden house which would expand and contract with the changes in humidity and temperature. This can cause cracks in the walls and roof, letting in cold air in winter and hot air in summer.

A brick house behaves very well with the climate. The thermal mass of the bricks helps to store and release heat slowly, which is great for both summer and winter climates. In hot weather, the bricks will help to keep the house cooler by storing the heat during the day and releasing it at night. And in cold weather, the bricks will help to keep the house warmer by storing the heat from inside and releasing it slowly over time. Plus, a brick house is a great insulator and can help to keep out cold air in winter and hot air in summer. So a brick house can be a great option for living in all year round – especially in colder climates!
