What will my report include?

I am doing the Asbestos Testing myself. What will my report include?

  • It depends on the test you are using. Some tests just look for asbestos fibers, while others also measure the amount of asbestos present. If you are using a test that just looks for asbestos fibers, then your report will just list the locations where asbestos was found. If you are using a test that also measures the amount of asbestos present, then your report will list the location and amount of asbestos found in each location.

Your report should include asbestos levels in the air and any surfaces tested, as well as the type of asbestos present. If you are not trained to read asbestos test results, it is best to have a professional take a look at them for you. They will be able to help you understand what the results mean and what, if any, action needs to be taken.
