  • It depends on the size of your driveway and the thickness of the bricks and mortar. For a small driveway, it might be cheaper to use concrete, because you would need a lot of bricks to make a thick driveway, and the cost of mortar would add up. For a large driveway, it might be cheaper to use brick because you would need fewer bricks and less mortar.

It is cheaper to install a brick driveway than a concrete driveway, but this is only if you do the work yourself. If you hire a contractor to install your brick driveway, it will likely be more expensive than installing a concrete driveway. One of the reasons brick driveways are cheaper to install than concrete driveways is because they require less mortar between the bricks. Concrete driveways require a lot of mortar because the surface needs to be very smooth in order for cars to drive on it without getting stuck. Bricks can have bumps and irregularities without causing any problems, so less mortar is needed between them.
