Is pumped concrete weaker?

I was thinking of using pump concrete for construction. Is pumped concrete weaker?

  • There are pros and cons to both pumped and poured concrete. In general, poured concrete is stronger because it has less air pockets than pumped concrete. However, when done correctly, pumped concrete can achieve the same or better strength results than poured concrete. The main difference is that pumped concrete must be vibrated during the pour to remove all of the air bubbles, whereas poured concrete does not require this step.

No, pumped concrete is not weaker. The reason people think it is weaker is because the air pockets that are created when the concrete is pumped help to make it less dense, and this makes it feel lighter. However, the strength of the concrete is not affected.
