My dryer is on the verge of halftime of its lifespan. Should I repair it or replace it with a new one?

  • Well, it depends. If your dryer is still under warranty, then you should probably replace it. But if your dryer is not under warranty, then you might want to try repairing it first. Here are a few things to keep in mind when deciding whether to repair or replace your dryer:-If your dryer is more than 5 years old, it's probably cheaper to replace it than to repair it.-If your dryer is not heating up properly, the motor may be bad and need to be replaced.-If your dryer is making strange noises, the bearings may need to be replaced.-If your dryer isn't drying clothes evenly, the belt or the drum may be bad.

It depends on the severity of the damage and how much it will cost to repair. Generally, it's better to repair an appliance if it's still under warranty, but if the damage is too severe or if the cost of repair is close to the cost of replacement, then it might be wiser to just buy a new one. One thing to keep in mind is that most appliances have a lifespan and once they reach a certain age, they're not worth repairing anymore. So if your dryer is more than 10 years old, it might be time for a new one even if it doesn't seem severely damaged.
