Landscape architects are licensed professionals who have graduated from an accredited school of landscape architecture. Landscape designers may or may not have a degree in landscape architecture, but they should at least be horticulturally trained and know how to design garden spaces. They usually do not have the training or experience to create construction documents like a landscape architect does.
