My laundry room isn't working for me anymore. How do you renovate a laundry room? Where do you have to start?

  • It depends on the condition of the laundry room when you start. If it's in good condition, you may only need to paint or update the hardware on cabinets and appliances. If it's in poor condition, you may need to do a complete overhaul, including replacing flooring, installing new cabinetry and appliances, and painting. The first step is to assess the condition of the laundry room and make a plan based on what needs to be done. Once you have a plan, start by removing everything from the room and cleaning everything thoroughly. Then start with the big projects first and work your way down to the smaller projects. Take your time and be patient; it's not a race! And be sure to enjoy your new.

There are a few key things to consider when renovating a laundry room: the layout of the room, the storage and organization solutions, and the appliances you'll need. When it comes to the layout of the room, think about how you want to use it. If you have a lot of space, you may want to consider adding a counter or sink so that you can wash clothes on site. If your laundry room is small, try to choose a layout that makes the most use of every square foot. When it comes to storage and organization, think about what you need most in your laundry room. Do you need more shelves for detergents and fabric softener? A cabinet for bulkier items?
