Installing new electrical appliances can be an easy task, but it is important to take some safety precautions before beginning. Here are a few tips for installing new appliances:-Shut off the power to the outlet you will be working on at the breaker box.-Test the wires with a voltage tester to make sure there is no power running through them.-If there is insulation on the wire, remove it by stripping away about ½ inch of insulation from the end of each wire.-Connect each wire to its corresponding terminal on the appliance using pliers.
