  • It can be cheaper to paint vinyl siding than to replace it, but there are a few things you need to take into account. Primarily, the age and condition of your vinyl siding will matter. If your vinyl siding is in bad shape and needs to be replaced anyway, then painting it will likely not be a cost effective option. Additionally, the type of paint you use will also affect the overall cost. Vinyl siding is designed to be painted, so any standard exterior paint should work well. However, if you decide to use a specialty paint or primer designed specifically for vinyl siding, your costs may increase slightly.

It is not a bad idea to paint vinyl sidi However, you will want to make sure that you use the right paint and primer. Most paints and primers are not designed for vinyl sidi, so you will need to use a product that is specifically made for painting vinyl sidi. If you do not use the right paint or primer, the paint may peel or chip off of the vinyl sidi.
