  • It is not hard to install a thermostat, but it does require a bit of electrical know-how. If you're not comfortable working with electricity, it would be best to call in a professional. First, shut off the power to the thermostat by shutting off the breaker at the fuse box. Then remove the old thermostat from the wall and disconnect the wires. Next, connect the wires to your new thermostat according to the instructions that came with it, and screw it in place. Finally, turn on the power at the fuse box and test your work by turning on your furnace or air conditioner.

It is not hard to install a thermostat, but it can be a little tricky. If you are comfortable using tools and following directions, you should be able to do it yourself. However, if you are not comfortable with either of those things, it is best to call in a professional. Installing a thermostat requires basic hand tools and some knowledge of wiring. The instructions that come with the thermostat will guide you through the process step-by-step. It is important to read and follow the instructions carefully, as improper installation can cause damage to your heating and cooling system.
