The first thing you'll need to do is remove the broken stem from the window. Once it's out, take the new stem and slide it into the housing on the window. Make sure that it's fitted tightly and that there's no play in the joint. If there is, use some pliers to crimp down on the metal clips until it's secure. Now hang your blinds back up and enjoy them for many more years to come!
1. Remove the broken stem by gently pulling on it. If it's stubborn, use a small blade screwdriver to pry it out.2. Measure the length of the new stem and cut it to size using wire cutters or garden shears.3. Slightly bend one end of the new stem and insert it into the hole at the top of the vertical blind headrail.4. Push and twist the bent end until the stem is fully inserted into the hole.5. Straighten out the bent end of the stem and trim any excess length with wire cutters or garden shears.
